SUSANO MAMANI,, Reynaldo  y  CHAMBI ROJAS, Gisela Ingrid. Follicular aspiration in sheep by Laparotomy an its incidence about embryonary losses. CienciAgro [online]. 2019, vol.9, n.1, pp. 67-71. ISSN 2072-1404.

ABSTRACT Follicular aspiration to be associated among the factors that only incur on the reproductive results in sheep, reproductive losses are emphasized before lineage. Defined as the death and total reabsorption of the embryo between conception. The objective of the prasent study, was to evaluate the response of pregnant ewes at different stages and of different ages, undergoing a surgical procedure such as laparotomy. This research was conducte in; the Animal Reproduction Labo-ratory of the Veterinary Medicine and Zootechnics Career, belonging to the Bolivian Catholic University "San Pablo" academic unit of battles. The work was carried out with three sheep of different ages being: (1) Young, (2) intermediate, (3) advanced adult; two of the three sheep, had early gestation and the third advanced gestation. All three underwent laparotomy follicular aspiration, after this procedure the young sheep recovered quickly, but nevertheless, the aged sheep was slow to recover and stand up. Likewise, this procedure had repercussions on the gestation. In the middle-aged sheep, He managed to have a normal gestational development where his calf was born with a weight of 2.8 kg and gained a weight of 4.1 kg a week after birth, the mother is in good condition. But nevertheless, the elderly sheep had a sudden miscarriage losing the life and the fetus, when performing the autopsy; the fetus did not find any type of abnormalities in the reproductive system. With this we can indicate that age could play an important role for animals since a young animal will resist much more than an older one, on the other hand, the nutritional status also plays an important role, where all these factors are related.

Palabras llave : Age; gestation; laparotomy.
