LUNA QUISPE, Edgar Ismael. Evaluation of two varieties of broccoli (Brassica oleracea) under three planting densities in a temperate environment at the experimental cota-cota station.. CienciAgro [online]. 2018, vol.8, n.1, pp. 22-31. ISSN 2072-1404.
ABSTRACT Low yields in controlled environments leads to the present investigation, to evaluate the behavior and yield of two varieties ofbroccoli (Brassica oleracea). Broccoli cultivation was evaluated under the Experimental Design of Randomized Blocks according to Divided Plots, having as Factor "A" variety a: LEGACY and a: UG 2111 and as factor "B" planting densities b: 17 plants/m2, b : 11 floors/m2 and b: 8 floors/m2. Treatments: T1 (Legacy + 17 floors/m2), T2 (Legacy +11 floors/m2), T3 (Legacy + 8 floors/m2), T4 (UG 2111 + 17 floors/m2), T5 (UG 2111 + 11 floors/m2) and T6 (UG 2111 + 8 floors/m2). The Legacy germination test obtained 96,85% compared to 89,64% of UG 2111. In percentage of Legacy yield with 84,82% and UG 2111 71,68%. The height of the plant at harvest, Legacy obtained a higher average height with 0,52 m compared to UG 2111 with 0,45 m. The variety UG 2111 recorded 96 days from sowing to commercial maturity, Legacy with 109 days. The diameter of inflorescence was greater in T2 with 14,7 cm, followed by T3 with 13,6 cm. Legacy reached an average weight 370 gr in relation to UG 2111 330 gr. The yield of broccoli reflects that D1 (17 plants/m2) presented an average equal to 26,85 tons/ha, with respect to D2 (11 plants/m2) that presented an average of 19,88 tons/ ha and 15,28 tn/ha on D3 (8 floors/m2). The T1 was presented as the most profitable with a value equal to 3,63 Bs / m2 and a benefit of Bs. 2,63.
