    Abstract Is there a philosophy in education, and what is it? What is the relevance of reflecting on this nowadays? The purpose of this article is to find a possible definition of philosophy in education and its importance. This approach will be done based on some themes from Ancient Greece, pointing out the meaning of teaching and philosophizing. This analysis is not a recipe for what philosophy in education should be, it is rather what the author understands by it, and it allows the readers to think about this theme and develop comprehension about it on their own.
