Abstract
DURAN SILLERICO, Darío J.. THE HISPANIC CODE IN THE URBAN STRUCTURES OF NUESTRA SEÑORA DE LA PAZ. Rev. Fuent. Cong. [online]. 2020, vol.14, n.65, pp. 95-99. ISSN 1997-4485.
The historic center of the city of La Paz is the result of different criteria of urban and architectural intervention. The Hispanic code in the urban structures of Our Lady of La Paz refers to the built vestige of the city. We will study the presence of the Hispanic code of the different urban, functional and formal structures that were developed in the founding settlement of the city. It is a source of information that does not communicate by words or sounds, but rather transmits ideas from the interpretation of their forms and styles; This forces us to experience it in order to understand it. Our Lady of La Paz is the object of study that, through the different layers of its history, has architecture as a witness of its long, medium and short duration historical processes. Architecture is a witness to the historical processes of a society and therefore is as valuable as any other documentary resource.
