The author analyzes the relationship between libraries and social justice. He affirms that the state has the political responsibility to provide library goods and services to favor the construction of a citizenship capable of operating the dynamics of democracy. The issues he discusses are the following: 1 ] Democratic access to information in library practice, 2] Democratic values in the library sphere, 3] The practice of library social justice, 4] Library services for those without information, 5] Libraries in the democratic rule of law, and 6] The library service with a social justice perspective.
