This research intends to describe some aspects of the School Library Network Program - PRBE of Portugal, with the purpose of presenting the principles, structure and actions of the PRBE, in order to provide information and inspiration subsidies for reflections and practices on a project network of school libraries. PRBE seeks to develop itself as a Network philosophy and addresses considerations about the Program's origins, principles, quality standards, functions, actions and projects. With regard to methodological procedures, we used the exploratory research as the scientific method and the interview as a research technique. The considerations, it can be said that the PRBE contributes to the social and political formation of the citizen, since it is a space that, given its nature, promotes reading, research and knowledge.
