VERGARA REYES, Jorge Alberto y RODRIGUEZ RESENDIZ, Perla Olivia. THE SOUND DOCUMENT OF DIGITAL ORIGIN AS A CONTAINER OF KNOWLEDGE AND TRANSMITTER OF CULTURE. Rev. Fuent. Cong. [online]. 2019, vol.13, n.63, pp. 26-34. ISSN 1997-4485.
The sound document of digital origin is the intangible support that contains and transmits sound information that human beings register with the new information and communication technologies. This document is part of the digital heritage that must be preserved, since it is fragile due to its technological origin. In the sound document of digital origin, historical and cultural events of humanity are recorded, such as music, various indigenous languages, speeches of important individuals, sounds of nature, the city, countryside and industry, radio broadcasts, local, collective and autochthonous knowledge, oral tradition, art, and everything else producing sound. This paper will establish the conceptual bases and background that define the Digital Origin Sound Document and a typological classification proposal, as well as establishing its link as part of the information systems in the digital sound archives and its digital preservation as a source of information of knowledge and transmitter of culture.
