    Abstract

ALIAGA MOLLINEDO, Pedro G. A.  and  MERIDA LUJAN, Alejandro. FROM RESCATIRIS TO RESCATARIS: NOTES FOR A HISTORY OF COLLECTIVE PRACTICES REGARDING DOCUMENTARY RESOURCES: THE CONSERVATION OF THE TAMAYO HISTORICAL ARCHIVE. Rev. Fuent. Cong. [online]. 2019, vol.13, n.62, pp. 65-71. ISSN 1997-4485.

How to understand the conservation of archival and bibliographic documentary heritage from a historical perspective? These notes are intended to initiate reflection on the collective practices that were executed on what is now part of the documentary heritage of the Nation. In order to propose a new reading, the reflection starts from considering the destruction of documentary heritage in a retrospective way, on the one hand, and proposes the case study of the archival and bibliographic documentation of the intellectual Franz Tamayo Solares, on the other hand. In conclusion, the challenges in the conservation and restoration of the Tamayo Historical Archive documentation are presented.
