Abstract The present text is a historical approximation to the events of the finding of "Tapado de Colquechaca", nowadays of world fame. By express invitation of the President of the Cooperativa Minera Colquechaca R.L. Don Edwin Burgos Bernabé, who together with his Board of Directors and workers wish to fully perpetuate the most eminent numismatic details of the tapado and its social and historical environment, is that we carried out a joint work with Lic. Ibeth Cuiza, historian of this famous mining region that has given so much splendor to Bolivia, to unveil a treasure of the historical wealth that this Andean bastion possesses.
