BUCK, Daniel y MEADOWS, Anne. The End of the Road: Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid in Bolivia. Rev. Fuent. Cong. [online]. 2016, vol.10, n.46, pp. 07-26. ISSN 1997-4485.
A documented account of the fateful journey of Butch Cassidy (Robert LeRoy Parker) and the Sundance Kid (Harry Alonzo Longabaugh) in Bolivia, reconstructing in minute detail the events from their arrival in 1907 until November 6, 1908, when they died in encounter with a Bolivian army patrol in San Vicente, a mining village in southern Bolivia. In telling the history of the two celebrated bandits, the authors include interesting biographical facts about their early family life and their criminal careers, during which they were pursued by the Pinkertons, a private detective agency retained by banks, railroad companies and other commercial entities. Includes a corollary about the legend that the two bandits survived, which the authors debunk.
