The young naturalistic and scientist, Alcides d' Orbigny, chief of the first French scientific mission in Bolivia, that extended by other countries of South America, publishing as a final result, a titled work Voyage dans l'Amerique meridionale, translated to the spanish in several editions. In his work in La Paz d'Orbigny found the Actas capitulares de La Paz, that were written up by Pedro de Manzaneda, public notary of Cap. Alonso de Mendoza, and other 25 notary publics of the early La Paz city. To his return to France, he took with himself a sample book of plants and devices that enriched the museums of Paris. But, Alcides d' Orbigny took, in addition, the Actas Capitulares de La Paz (1548-1562), and those of the Departmental Delegation (1820-1823). To its death the Actas be able of the Briths Museum and actually they are in the Brithis Library. This is the documented history of the despoliation of the Actas that the illustrious naturalistic wise person carried out.
