Study on the Bolivian communicational system during teh XIX century. The communication throu-gh pack animal roads depended on the geographic land, climatic conditions, all this tie to the factor time. The telegraphic system was recenttly and was tended of Iquique to Arica. Before the situation of emergency by the invasion of the Bolivian Coast, it was urgent to inform to President Daza at La Paz. The Consul Manuel Granier resorted to the pre-Hispanic communicational system of "chasquis", that articulated the political center of the Incas with other regions all over which it was the Tawantinsuyu. The geographic knowledge, the physical training conditionses and the prepara-tion for the land route different were conditions of those messengers. The native Gregorio Collque, chasqui, messenger, postillón, or mail, called "Goyo", assumed the responsibility to communicate the Chilean invasion to the port of Antofagasta. After six days of route from Tacna to the city of La Paz, moved by 380 kilometers to arriving at the seat of government at the end of Tuesday 25 of February, where it gave account of the Chilean invasion, constituting itself in a determining actor for the immediate decision making for the national defense.
