Paper presented at the IX Congress of Archival Mercosur, held at the University Campus of San Lorenzo, in Asuncion, Paraguay, from 16 to 18 November 2011. In this exhibition, discusses the situation of the company files in the era of globalization and privatization noting archival topics that took effect during these years. Emphasizes the transformations of the treatment of files in general and company’s files in particular in the transition to the documentation computerized and digitized, on the legal basis requires a company to keep their documents. Says that the digital revolution forces to acquire new skills and apply them to document management in the three faces of the document lifecycle: active, intermediate file and historical archive.
