    Resumen

LAGUNA VARGAS, Daniel. THE HYMN OF TUPIZA THROUGH TIME. Rev. Fuent. Cong. [online]. 2012, vol.6, n.19, pp. 29-35. ISSN 1997-4485.

For the majority of the tupiceños it is known that the authors of the Hymn to Tupiza are the Prof. Hugo Molina Viaña, who composed the letter, and the Prof. Luis Yáñez Gonzales, who composed music. Coincidently, they were not born in Tupiza; but their contributions to the education, the music and the culture of Tupiza were very valuable. Beyond the responsibility of the Hymn to Tupiza, until now greater details were not known on the Hymn and its authors. The present article gives important references on its authors, the origin of the Hymn, its opening in 1951, the legal managements of its approval by the Ministry of Education and Culture, by means of Ministerial Resolution Nº 723, the oficialización and institutionalization of the Hymn by means of Municipal ordinance Nº 033 of the Municipal Government of Tupiza. Therefore, the Hymn comprises of the cultural and civic heap, and is one of the symbols of Tupiza, next to its shield and flag.
