Biographical sketch of Dr. Aurelio Tanodi, one of the giants of the Iberoamerican archival, who participated in the first inter-American meeting of Archives (1961). On his return to Argentina, he founded the Inter-American Centre for the Development of Archives which formed the first generation of archivists in Latin America. His fundamental work, Manual de Archivología Hispanoamericana, is one of the inputs essential to this discipline.
