The growing and uncontrolled urbanization in our country, to the margin of planning, has caused serious affectations to the urban environment, increasing the negative effects on the health and the population's well-being, especially for the fact that these interferences accelerate the occurrence and magnitude of natural risks. To consider that the increase of the physical, social and economic vulnerability of the cities is in agreement with the urban evident un product of a consumption, wasteful, uncontrolled and inconsistent production model; it is justified, through a documentary revision, the elaboration of a methodological proposal which allows to know the current state and the tendency toward a sustainability of the mountain cities, considering that these urban ecosystems are the one that present a fragile physical natural characteristics, therefore they deserve a special attention. Within this outline. Trujillo 's City in Venezuela is distinguished as one of the more vulnerable mountainous cities.
