    Resumen

RUIZ ORELLANA, Miguel A.  y  CHOQUE IBARRA, Raúl. Determinación de las propiedades mecánicas del Tallo de la Quinua. Rev tec u [online]. 2015, n.13, pp. 49-61. ISSN 1991-6469.

Abstract The present work tries to document the mechanical properties of the stem of quinua. To realize the tests of shearing strain, bending stress and modulus of elasticity have been divided the stems of quinuas in three sections: A lower, B middle and C upper, because the resistance varies for each section. One has worked with three varieties of quinua, the Kellu, the Real White and the Black. Tests of shearing strain by the shearing along method have been realized obtaining for the Kellu variety, valúes average of 4,82 MPa for a percentage average of humidity of 7,73% in the lower section, 5,78 MPa for a humidity of 8,38% in middle part and a 7,58 MPa for a humidity of 8,85% in the upper region. For the Real White has been efforts of cuts of 3,63 MPa, 4,67 MPa and 8,86 MPa with percentage of humidity of 11,69%, 10,38% and 9,23% for the sections A, B and C respectively. In the bending tests has been obtained efforts of bio-yield of 12,49 MPa, 7,60 MPa and 11,04 MPa with modulus of elasticity of 19,22 GPa, 10,49 GPa and 27,89 GPa for the sections A, B and C of Kellu variety; the Real White Quinua has shown efforts of bio-yield of 10,26 MPa, 5,64 MPa and 29,37 MPa with modulus of elasticity of 8,70 GPa, 8,19 GPa and 20,24 GPa for the sections A, B and C respectively. The tests with black quinua give higher values, having bending stress of 15,23 MPa, 7,66 MPa and 25,02 MPa with modulus of elasticity of 23,07 GPa, 8,73 GPA and 29,37 GPa for the sections A, B and C respectively, getting to determine that it is the variety that has more mechanical resistance to bending stress as to shearing stress.
