Reactive oxygen species invoived in a multítude of diseases and produce direct or indirect damage to various organs. These reactions are mediated by the so-called 'free radicáis' orr reactive oxygen species' living things that genérate as a result of aerobic metabolism, oxidative stress probably plays a beneficial role to some extent in the inflammatory response by inducing cell profiferation, activatíon gene and apoptosis. However, it is unclear when or the extent to which this response becomes inappropriate, so the Üterature review will help bridge these gaps. The micronutrient deficiencies, ischemia reperfusion, the decrease in the levéis of ATP and increased AMP determined by the change of anaerobic to aerobic metabolism would be the fundamental basis to explain the process of oxidative stress.
