    Resumo

    The parasitosis is an entity of distribution world, frequent cause of malnutrition in the infantile population. The main objective is to determine the enteroparasitosis frequency in children smaller than 10 years of the community of Antequera and Surumi in the months of January to March of 2007. It is a descriptive, prospective study and of traverse court. Results: 89 children took (100%), to those that he/she was carried out study coproparasitologico; in Surumi he/she took 26 children of those which 17 children (69.25%) they met with enteroparasitosis, and 8 (30,75%) they didn't present enteroparasitosis and with relationship to the community of Antequera the population of children was 63, one observes the same frequency, 44 children (69.84%) smaller than 10 years enteroparasitosis, and 19 children presented (30.16%) nr. The most frequent parasite found in both communities is cysts of Giardia Lamblia. The group more affecled etáreo is the 2 year-old children in both communities. Inside the factors of risk predisponentes they are: The consumption of water in the population of Surumi 40% comes from pipe water, however 32% consumes well water, and 28% they obtain water bathroom, elimination of garbage to the bleakness or the river and accumulation that it exists in the homes of these communities.
