ABSTRACT The Silicosis is one of the most outstarding working diseases, affects the miner population of the country, establishing one serious threat, not only for the life of the mine workers if not too for the prosperity of the nation.,this study has been realize, in the city of Llallagua, at the Miner Cooperative most important of the North Potosi, Siglo XX Ltda, taken 117 miners chosen by sort and conveniente, is a transverse study, quantitative that for we using basic statistical techniques, like questionnaires and clinical reports, aside from auxiliary methods of diagnose, chest PA X-ray, foundation of this work, were we obtain the next conclusions, one majority ofthe mine workers have lung pathology, be along one simple bronchitis to the lung cancer, besides we found a low leve) social and economic, this characteristics, make the work inside the mine more dangerous and unsafe, we join to the presents data, the physical characteristics, from the mine we found a high concentration of silice in dust, over the average, the most important conclusion, we found in the Rx -ray, plague, an 43% presents silicosis at any grade
