    Resumen

    Introduction: Hypertension carries a global health problem and its appearance in infants is increasingly alarming, now several investigation saimedat detecting pathology and to treat early stage to avoid further complications Objetive: To determine bloodpressure in preterm infants of preeclamptic mothers Vs preterm infants of normotensive mothers. Material and Methods: Prospective observational design, comparative case-control study in the área of Neonatology Hospital Carlos Andrade Marín. Evaluated 40 infants < 36 PW normotensive mothers (group A) and 40 < 36 PW preeclamptic mothers (group B ). The average GA for cases was 32.2 with a SD ± PW 2.6. While the average GA for the control group was 32.7 with a SD ± PW 2.4. Intervention: The BloodPreasure was taken at 30min, 12 and 24 hours of life in the 4 limbs from right to left. Results: The BP Systolic, diastolic and mean was altered during the 12 hours of life of the newborn. No statistically significant differences compared between upper and lower extremities were found. However 5696 of cases had elevated systolic and the diastolic 12 hours of life.6896 of the valúes were regularized during the 24 hours of life. Conclusión: Further research is necessary in preterm infants with risk factors, in adition to designed al Doppler ultrasound in fetal period for assess the size of the Ductus Arteriosus, and renal mass before birth and after this will assess alterations BP in upper and lower extremities of the new born.
