ABSTRACT Metabolic syndrome is now the leading cause of cardiovascular morbility and mortality, in context are intertwined individual discases such as hypertension, insulin resistance, diabetes mellitus, dyslípidemia, hyperuricemia, which togcthcr with overwcight and obcsity, complete a dark spectrum for clinicians committed to the overall health of the population. Changes in lifestyle have done so without a doubt the perfect niche for the development of this disease in our country today. We will discuss the physiopathology of the disease and the individuass relationship components together to créate this disease.
