ABSTRACT Due to a diminution of the barometric pressure as one rises high altitude (3600 m.s.n.m. in the city of La Paz) as much start up a series of adaptations cardiorrespiratories and hematologic; when this series of adaptation mechanisms does not manage to compensate the ascent to high altitude triggers the Eritrocitosis of Height that defines it as a clinical syndrome of chronic mismatch to the height that is characterized by a series of clinical manifestations like depression of sensorio, migraine, vomits, diminution of the visual sharpness. Laboratory is reflected in an increase characteristic of the Hematocrit and Hemoglobine; being the treatment mainly the reduction to low heights. The present work tríes to make emphasis in the mechanisms of adaptation and to make reference to those treatments that could be applied optionally
