Abstract
QUIROGA VILLCA, Edgar. DRIVING CYCLES IN THE HOMOLOGATION PERSPECTIVE OF THE VEHICLE IN SLOPE, CIUDAD DE LA PAZ -BOLIVIA. Rev. Tecnológica [online]. 2023, vol.19, n.25, pp. 1-4. ISSN 1729-7532.
ABSTRACT The field investigation carried out sought to identify an uphill driving cycle with a RAV 4 test vehicle, which runs on gasoline in real road conditions, evaluating the emission of gases when traveling on an ascent route in the city of La Paz, following the protocol of the Centro de Revisión Técnica Vehicular (CRTV) that applies the IBNORCA NB 62002 standard, in accelerated and idling conditions. Continuing with the driving cycle on the route: Centro ciudad de La Paz - ceja de El Alto, according to the current World Harmonized Procedure for Light Vehicle Testing (WLTP). Test that can be applied to future approvals of electric vehicles in their ability to climb roads with steep slopes, the same as for the test vehicle. Thus, instead of the roller dynamometer, ascent routes were sought in la ciudad de La Paz (height between 3312 and 4102 m.s.n.m.) Identifying two homologation routes: the first in the Panpahasi district (Villa Salomé) with 24.9 percent of slope, and the second (San Antonio de Padua church) Villa San Antonio district with 31.5 percent slope as maximum points of positive ascent; adequate routes to homologue the performance of hybrid and electric vehicles in their transit through roads of la ciudad de La Paz with pronounced slope.
