GRUDNER CARRANZA, Erick C. EXPERIMENTAL STUDY OF THE CLOSED SYSTEM: SOLAR EVAPORATOR AND TRANSPARENT POLYETHYLENE VARIABLE DEPTH SHEET AS COLLECTOR - CONDENSED WATER CONVEYOR. Rev. Tecnológica [online]. 2021, vol.17, n.23, pp. 1-9. ISSN 1729-7532.

ABSTRACT Applying a systemic methodology (outlet: volume of condensed water, inputs: construction variables and average thermal record) to the experimental study carried out on this small-scale system, the following is highlighted: Observed design variables and thermal record: It has been shown that when hp and Hw increase, in relation to the black background area, the collected volume of condensed water also increases. The thermal tracking of the whole process (heating and thermal inertia), has identified a parabolic model with a common point that corresponds to the maximum temperature that reaches both the water in the initial container and the interior environment. The cover, facing the heat dissipation and hourly production of condensate: Applying a finite difference model in a rectangular cavity (one edge submitted to convection and the other submitted to constant temperature), the results show, a convective effect towards it middle exterior and one sectorialization of differences, which are accentuated more than 44.4 percent of the total area of the cover and very close to the extremes this. The Nusselt analysis for condensation on inclined plates, established that the condensate production remains at a constant value during the recorded temperature changes, while the process is manifested (heating and thermal inertia). Finally; On this system, there are important design and physicochemical restrictions that reduce the recovery of steam in the form of condensed water (η = 24 percent). However, in view of these disadvantages of the system, highlighting the experimentally demonstrated conditions: ease of construction and availability to obtain distilled water from brackish or contaminated water sources

Palabras llave : Evaporation of water using solar energy; condensation of water vapor on inclined plates; natural and forced convection; phase changes; finite differences; polyethylene sheet.
