ABSTRACT The Bolivian high plateau is characterized by housing salt flats, lagoons and diapiros; composed of various salts. Abundant deposits of varied geochemistry, where the central element is sodium. When making a tour from the northern highlands, small whitish outcrops of sodium salts can be observed, varying their concentration and extension progressively, until reaching the southwestern region of the highlands, where the largest amount of salt and lagoons mentioned are concentrated in this article and the existing salts in each of them.
