ABSTRACT In the Andes Mountains the impacts of global warming and climate change are already felt. So, as the temperature of the place increases, traditional water evaporation cycles are also changing. As is the case of the Leche Khota lagoon, eastern slope of the Chachacomani snowy, spatial geographical site that was studied through satellite images LandSat 5, 7 and 8, for the period 1998-2018. The results show a decrease in the lagoon area. Showing that oligotrophy (properties of high mountain lake waters) and the reduction of the perimeter are proportional to the loss of its area.
