GRUDNER CARRANZA, Erick C.. LITHIUM-IÓN BATTERY (LIB) FOR VEHICULAR USE. Rev. Tecnológica [online]. 2020, vol.16, n.22, pp. 17-22. ISSN 1729-7532.
ABSTRACT The lithium-ion battery has been providing a line of electrochemical research of a secondary galvanic accumulator that operates under novel conditions, of the voltage and power low. These design factors (voltage and low power) have been modified through the increase in size, weight, shape and groupings of many unit cells in series and / or parallel circuits, capable of accumulating amounts of energy for vehicular use in large batteries LIB, thus providing the necessary power and autonomy to be able to travel increasing distances with only one battery charge. Highlighting throughout this technological process of design and implementation of the LIB for vehicular use with greater power and autonomy, the research and development (R&D) mainly of NCM622 and NCM811 cathodic materials limited to small amounts of lithium that are contributing to the manufacturing of LIB with higher energy density, and will continue to contribute on R&D advances to finally reach the solid state LIB.
