    Resumo

    ABSTRACT The result of a technical-financial comparison is presented, on the effect that the change would have towards an LED technology in the light field for tunnel lighting, where lighting is essential to ensure the maintenance of the user's visual perception throughout its route and in all circumstances of day and / or night light, weather and atmospheric conditions. The comparison of the light effect between high-pressure sodium vapor lamps (in current use) and the use of LED diode network modules (technological change), in the permanent lighting area of the San Rafael tunnel (via Cotapata-Santa Bárbara, departmento de La Paz-Bolivia), it establishes approximately a of 27 percent in energy consumption and a 14,3 percent monetary economic.
