Abstract This article presents a conceptual framework related to the possibility of exporting KCl to the fertilizer market in Brazil. Identifying that the smaller distance using the road transport from Llipi to Corumbá and the possibility of progressively accommodating the total KCl production of the plant in the growing Brazilian market of potassium and complex fertilizers, are the own advantages, that complemented with successful negotiations on the commodity or opportunity price plus other costs and also certifying the quality of KCl, would ensure its future commercialization.
