PALACIOS ZULETA, Natalia. Coverage and condition of vegetable communities native pastures cuenca del Chachacomani. Rev. Tecnológica [online]. 2019, vol.15, n.21, pp. 05-09. ISSN 1729-7532.
Abstract In the present work a comparative research process is described, between a satellite information system (SIG) of RapidEye images and the corresponding field work, related to the coverage and condition of plant communities, Chachacomani basin (municipio de Batallas, tercera sección, provincia Los Andes, Departmento de La Paz), whose watershed is from the top to the glacier slopes. The results of the NDVI and SAVI coincide with those obtained in the field, finding five plant communities: bofedales, chilliguares and totorillares, Deyeuxia pastures and Ichu pajonal, with important coverage and conditions (productivities). On the other hand, the Jaccar index calculated for the five plant communities, marked a remarkable dissimilarity, indicating that the basin was not yet strongly altered by anthropic activities, Finally, the comparison of results between the two methodologies shows that both complement each other adequately, and are suitable for the evaluation of the coverage and condition of pastures located in the Bolivian altiplano.
