PALACIOS ZULETA, Natalia; GARCIA APAZA, Emilio y PALACIOS ZULETA, Jorge. Climatic variations and their relationship with agricultural production, case: Boopi river basin, La Paz - Bolivia. Rev. Tecnológica [online]. 2018, vol.14, n.20, pp. 31-34. ISSN 1729-7532.
Agricultural production depends on the climate of the area where it is produced, climate change and the greenhouse effect threatens, with negative impacts on crops, livestock and human health. Regarding the Boopi River basin, analyzed precipitation variations can affect fruit crops and the appearance of pests and insects. However, these variations would favor winter sowings, and perennial crops. From a climate change perspective, if global warming is greater than + 2.5 ° C, food availability on a regional scale throughout the basin would be deficient, affecting more species with low plasticity (pooradaptability).
