    Resumen

CARLO LAZARO, Luís. The metamorphosis of the salar de Uyuni. Rev. Tecnológica [online]. 2018, vol.14, n.20, pp. 28-30. ISSN 1729-7532.

The uneven and almost flat surface of the Salar de Uyuni, as a result of seasonal rains, is practically flooded and becomes a saline lake. After this time, the intense solar radiation in the following months (dry season) causes the water to evaporate, and the surface again to return to its usual way of salar, showing linear successions in relief that mark its extension with polygonal figures in the manner of an immense extended network. Process of dissolution-crystallization, that in the present article, is explained considering the molecular association in dipole by effect of Hydrogen bridge bonds EH, electrical characteristic and of molecular structure of water, which together with energetic, climatological and physicochemical factors among others, show a typical seasonal process of the South American salares of the lithium triangle (Argentina, Chile and Bolivia), which is magnified in the salar de Uyuni because of its great extension.

Palabras llave : Hydrogen bridge bonds; dipole; saturated solutions; supersaturated and crystallization.
