ABSTRACT The Bolivian high plateau is characterized to preserve in the southwest region lagoons and salares, that were studied by diverse state and private institutions, from different points of view; With particular interest, those technical reports related to: its genesis, its geochemistry, the calculation of mineralogical reserves and the economic prospects of exploitation. Following a methodology of study recommended by Engineer Francois Risacher, with whom I worked on the identification and evaluation of the lagoons and salares of the highlands, within the agreement UMSA-ORSTOM. This article refers to a preliminary study of two lagoons, Liviscota and Phallarata, and the salar Bella Vista, revealing that they have the same geological and geochemical characteristics as the rest of the salares and lagoons in this highland region.
