The project was aimed at determining specific procedures for use, maintenance and recycling of automobiles catalytic converters, establishing specific technical criteria that contributes to the efficient work of the catalyst within the working time depicted in the manufacturer's specifications and therefore avoids his untimely and unjustified extraction or, in the event that they no longer fulfill the function of neutralizing polluting gases. Also proposing a method for recovering platinum ceramic monoliths of catalytic converters disused.
