    Resumen

GONZALEZ CAMACHO, Oscar Sergio. Elastic atmospheric LIDAR simulator for measuring aerosol concentration levels in the troposphere. RevActaNova. [online]. 2017, vol.8, n.1, pp. 76-93. ISSN 1683-0789.

Over the years, the study of earth atmosphere, as well as the factors that influence on its pollution have been gaining strength all around the world. In this aspect, the laser measurement techniques gained a high level of acceptance for their non-invasive properties. The atmospheric LIDAR is an optical remote sensing technique that allows to measure aerosols concentration and other contaminants present in the air. The cost of acquiring a LIDAR equipment for this purpose, as well as the configuration, testing and calibration, is extremely high, that is why it is proposed to use a simulator to obtain the same results from captured or simulated data from the atmosphere. The present article aims to show the implementation of an atmospheric elastic LIDAR simulator using Java as a programming language.
