The objective of this article is to present the implementation of the virtual distance learning in the undergraduate studies at the Faculty of Medicine of the M. U.S.A., it was the lectureship of Medicine I, the first to innovate with this new model of teaching, as a strategy to improve the quality of education, this change was developed since 2013 where the traditional education was supported on ICT and on the website, spreading the contents and information of the subject. In 2014 a server with the latest technology was acquired, where the educational platform of free software was installed, that allowed to establish virtual tasks, digital material, and educational resources to motivate groupal work. In 2015 Virtual distance learning model was consolidated through the full use of the E-Learning platform. In addition, the implementation of the E. V. has shown the improvement of the quality of education, in terms of a participatory and collaborative learning; the averages of approval rise to a 67.9% and approval rating reached a percentage of 99.6%, never achieved; these data credited an improvement of the university academic performance. In this article we describe the entire process of the change of teaching strategy. Finally, the lectureship of medicine I, pioneer in virtual education in history education in the undergraduate studies of the Faculty of medicine and the Universidad Mayor de San Andrés, has achieved its primary objective, improving the quality of education of their students through the use of technology
