Fournier's Gangrene is a necrotizing fascitis in the genital, peri - rectal and/or perineal region. It has been described since time's past, but it is accredited to Jean Fournier, who in 1883 made the description in young patients whitout apparent cause, actually it is know that is from polymicrobial origin (gram negative bacteri, gram negative cocci and anaerobes) and women can also be affected, considering also the presence of predisposing and triggering factors. This clinical case is the classic description of this clinical pathology, whith this patient presenting Celso's tetrad indicating an infection, secondary to a solution. of continuity whit bacterial aggregation, producing posterior distribution of the germs trough the contigous fascia and extending through the whole region favored by it's lytic enzymes; m this route they produce an obliterative endarteritis that leads to a necrosis of the tissue in that region. A surgical debridement was performed, preceded by wide range antibiotic therapy and posterior reconstructive surgery, with a favorable evolution and without future complications. Having the adequate knowledge for this pathology we enabled ourselves to realiza an accurate diagnosis, with a favorable prognosis, thanks to an adequate and opportunistic treatmente.
