A case is presented, of a 70 year - old woman who checks in to IGBJ - Sucre because she was presenting liquid bowel movement, nausea an bile alimentary vomits, whit a history of a Hartman operation. Vital signs where stable, and she was admitted with acute gastroenteritis. Laboratory findings indicate presence of metamyelocytes and young polymorphonuclei. Radiological studies gave evidence of pneumoperitoneum; surgical treatment was performed which showed perforation of the descending colon. Patient evolved favorably.
