Our country is developing with multiple socio-economical, health and educational problems, which explains the lack of knowledge on different diseases. Analyzing the pre-test results, very negative results were obtained about cancer knowledge with an 80,2% from which the following research question was formulated: What is the knowledge about cervix, breast and skin cancer, risk factors, prevention and diagnosis methods of the people interviewed in the city of Sucre? Our study was a research type on which 2 groups of study were formed for better attention and understanding of the topic. After a series of educational lectures on the topic, a larger amount of knowledge on cancer was gained in the posttest with a 58.8% We consider that educational lectures would contribute to prevent different health problems. Also, we suggest that a subject on the most predominant diseases nowadays should be implanted on the school curriculum.
