    Resumen

SEMPERTEGUI, Cinthia Michel. Rock Art Integration into the Lacustrine Landscape in the Northeast of Lake Titicaca. Textos Antropológicos [online]. 2018, vol.19, n.1, pp. 27-48. ISSN 1025-3181.

Rock art, as an object of archaeological study, requires a particular approach with specific methods, with tech-niques of graphic and photographic recording, digital improvement with specialized software, archaeological excavations (in some cases), iconographic, spatial, and landscape analyses, and even physical-chemical or archeo-metric studies ofpigments analysis, micro stratigraphy and superposition, among others. Thus to study the rock art ofthe northeastern side ofLake Titicaca means applying Landscape Archaeology with its postulates of formal analysis, transit analysis, and visibility, plus a methodology based on understanding the relationship between the landscape and rock art evidence, applying GIS techniques, focused on the localization ofrock art units, within a topographic, iconographic, and archaeological context. The results show the relationships found among rock art units within their immediate context, linked to areas of visibility and greater movement related, as well as with sectors ofrestricted accessibility, with a more symbolic character.
