This paper presents evidencefrom the archaeological excavation labors carried out by the Proyecto Chullpa Loma in the site of Chullpa Loma, located in the Cohoni region in La Paz. Starting with a review ofthe archaeological and etnohistorical background ofthis region and nearby zones, some interpretations aboutprehispanicpopulation dynamics in Cohoni are suggested. These dynamics are clearly different from those that occurred in both: the nearby La Paz valley and La Paz high plateau. The interpretations are proposed as hypothesis for future archaeological research
