The presenttaskofcontrasting the ethnohistoric data andthe archaeological record in areas with an ample variety of human settlement and ceramic styles, has been analyzed in recentyears by several studiesinregionsnearthe Vitichi Valley. However, importantquestionsstillexistthatwouldbeworth thewhiletoanalyze.Fromthispoint, aparticular caseis consideredthatconcerns the spatiallocation ofthe Wisijsa ethnic groups during the Late Regional Developmentperiod. This defined area is then compared with the area of dispersion ofthe identified ceramic material defined by Ibarra Grasso as Yura. Similarly, discrepancies arefoundwhich couldalso relate this style to that ofHuruquilla, located primarily in the region east ofthe Camargo zone. In this sense, the present work presents the analysis ofthe information related to the ethnohistoric data and the archaeological record in central and southern Potosí, with the goal of identifying possible correlations between the two
