Thepainting named "Hel^l”from the Judgement Series ofthe Carabuco church, Bolivia is analysed by an iconographic reading by the author. It is showed how the painted costumes reveal facts of ethnic and geographic identities, andalso parts ofthe Andean vision ofthe world. Here, a use of paintings as historic documents that allow to see the permanence ofthese identities is presented
