    Abstract

    ABSTRACT:                    The degradation of water resourcesconstitutesa problem in the Santiago de Callapa Municipality, Chullunkayani Community (Pacajes Province), for the analysis of this problem, it has been supported by the "critical theoretical paradigm" through a mixed approach, considering quantitative and qualitative aspects that characterize the sector. The study was carried out with the objective of analyzing the traditional irrigation system with social management based on the guidelines and indicators of the Technical Assistance Guide provided by the Ministry of Environment and Water, this irrigation system (dam) benefit to 49 families, with an approximate volume of 10,500 m3/year, for the irrigation of a diversity of crops such as tubers (potato, oca, quinoa and papalisa); grains (quinoa and cañahua); grasses (oats, wheat, tarwi and peas); vegetables (chard, garlic, celery, beetroot, broccoli, onion, cauliflower, lettuce, broad bean, radish, tomato and carrot and fodder (weeping grass, barley, alfalfa and fescue). The ATI Comprehensive Technical Assistance includes four phases: 1) investment preparatory accompaniment, b) technical assistance, c) management of the irrigation system and d) phase of support for agricultural production. Social management allowed organizing users for the "operation, maintenance, and distribution of irrigation (frequencies and irrigation shifts), the Internal Irrigation Statute considered legal regulations related to water resources and aspects of local knowledge.
