ABSTRACT: Ancestral knowledge is the cultural diversity in which people live, rescuingtheir values, customs, stories and ancestral traditions that are transmitted from generation to generation from grandparents to grandchildren, parents to children, which are expressed in experiences, practices and thoughts that through observation and one of them is the study of natural phenomena such as (phytoindicators, zooindicators, atmospheric and astronomical) through these observations the residents diagnose whether it will be a good year of production in the Bolivian highlands with important crops such as potato, quinoa and some annual crops from the region. Bioindicators are natural indicators that are observed in animals (Zooindicators) and plants (Phytoindicators) where they play an important role in the economy of the communities in the region. With the passage of time, this knowledge is lost due to the lack of interest of futuregenerations with respectto traditions and cultural practices, and young people are attracted to modern culture, which is increasingly delving deeper into cultural ones and considered obsolete. ancestral knowledge.
