MACHACA ALEJO, Edson Diego; BOSQUE SANCHEZ, Hugo Daniel and MACIAS VILLALOBOS, Milton. Effect of biol as foliar fertilizer on the productivity of 20 promising genotypes of cañahua (Chenopodium pallidicaule Aellen) at the Choquenaira Experimental Station. ABSTRACT: The research work was conducted on the premises of the Choquenaira Experimental Center - UMSA, with the objective of evaluating the effect of Biol incorporated in foliar form in twenty promising genotypes of cañahua in the 2018-2019 agricultural season. The research was established under a randomized complete block design with factorial arrangement and applying the Duncan multiple comparisons test (5%) for thirteen variables. The first study factor consisted of three Biol concentrations (60%, 40% and 20%) and two controls, and the second factor consisted of twenty promising cañahua genotypes. It was observed that Biol increased the average grain yield of the crop by 32.5% compared to the absolute control. It was also recorded that the 40% concentration of Biol had a favorable effect on the morphological development of the cañahua plant, reaching an average yield of 1691.3 kg ha-1. The Pusar genotype presented the highest average grain yield with 2455.1 kg ha-1, on the other hand, the L-14 genotype reached a grain yield of 3005.23 kg ha-1 in combination with the 40% Biol concentration. Biol as a foliar fertilizer is a sustainable alternative to partially replace the use of chemical fertilizers in order to improve productivity in the cultivation of sugarcane
