ABSTRACT:The present work was carried out at the Choquenaira Experimental Station, under the Faculty of Agronomy of the Universidad Mayor de San Andrés with the objective of evaluating the sperm quality of ovine semen (Ovis aries) of the Targhee and Correidale breeds of 3 and 2.7 years of age. The variables evaluated were: macroscopic semen variables such as: volume, color and pH, microscopic semen variables, mass motility, individual motility, sperm concentration, vitality and morphology. The results obtained showed a good quality of ram semen with a volume of 2 ml, creamy-white color, pH of 6.8, mass motility category 5 (excellent), individual motility of 82%, sperm concentration of 4250x106 sp./ml, vitality of 83%, normal morphology of 89.6%.
