Abstract: The evolution of information and communication technologies has generated significant progress in regards systems (primary and value-added generation) crop and livestock production, which has been promoting improvements in production efficiency levéis. Agribusinesses, as such, are no strangers to this evolution and have emerged as a response to the growing demand for food product of rapid population growth worldwide. But there is no doubt that the agribusiness under the approach of small and médium production, reflect a fundamentally important when we refer to food security and sovereignty of rural family economic units. In that sense, the present paper tries to justify that background that is hidden within the mercantilist business conceptualization that define agribusiness and is based on the market approach, but with the generation of incomeforthese economies.
