It was characterized of the production of bee honey in the municipality of Quime, main product of the beekeeping, where in the social part it was possible to know that the main activity of the municipality that is the mining, influences in a low agricultural production, due to the high interests that this activity gives to the residents. The negative part that one could observe, by means of the respective statistical analyses, is that the mining infers in a high environmental contamination, intensive extraction of natural resources not renewable and a low agricultural production that will influence in a non distant future to the sovereignty and alimentary security of the Department and of the Country. With regard to the economic part it was known that the most influential factors in the drop production apícola are the empiric handling that is given and the costs of the transport that influence directly in a non profitable beekeeping and almost of survival.
